We can save your business significant time and money by training your staff to troubleshoot potential problems and make necessary improvements using our specialized programs.

Maintenance Services

North Point is very dedicated to our clients, and as such we are well known for response to emergencies at all hours of the day, including weekends and holidays.  Where allowed, we maintain secure web-based remote access to sites, so that we can often diagnose issues and provide advice to on-site personnel immediately.  We currently maintain such connections to over 40 facilities, as far away as Australia.  The connection type varies and conforms with the security needs of the client- some are VPN connections, some are LogMeIn, TeamViewer or similar.  We always follow the security and access protocols put in place by the owner.

We will provide and maintain a list of resources with knowledge of your project and how to reach them.  Also, our main toll-free telephone line provides a queuing system that will ring all resources in order until getting a response.  A specific queue for service can be set up if this becomes necessary.

Depending on the nature of the emergency or maintenance call, we can provide engineers with software as well as electrical and instrumentation experience.

Training

Your crew knows your work and your product. North Point trains your staff in maintenance, upgrades, management and the quick-change methods of our programs. By training a crew to manage our systems, we improve their ability to efficiently troubleshoot potential problems and make improvements in-house, saving your business time and money. 

We’ll train your staff on-site in:  

  • Operation of complex systems.
  • Data collection and analysis.
  • Systems maintenance.
  • Routine upgrades.
  • Real-time management and process control.
  • Quick-change methods to reduce downtime.

We have developed and conducted training programs for many projects, at the request of our clients and end-users, and the form and type of training varies widely from facility to facility.  Examples of training programs we have conducted include:

  • Site-specific operational training with printed reference materials, slides, and hands-on demonstrations, for multiple shifts.
  • Site-specific maintenance training with printed collected literature and prints, and hands-on examples of diagnostic and repair procedures, including tools required or recommended.
  • Maintenance or engineering staff training on software, instrumentation, and control systems used at the site, essentially manufacturer's training, but onsite and focused specifically on the equipment in the facility.

We work with our clients to custom tailor training programs to their requirements, from classroom to one-on-one, remote, on-site or hands-on, as needed.
